Convert a PDF

In this article we will look at 3 options for converting a PDF. In the examples below we are changing PDFs to Word Docs (.docx files) but you can use these for other formats as well.

Option 1: Right Click

You can usually right click documents (or control + click on a mac) to get more options on how you would like to open a file. You can right click a doc, choose “open with” and select whatever program you’d like to use that is installed on your computer.

Option 2: Google Drive

If you put your PDF in Google Drive you can click the file and on the top you can select “Open with Docs”. From there you can select File and then download. In that menu will have many options to choose from but you can choose .docx for Microsoft Word.

Option 3: SmallPDF.com

You can use smallpdf.com as well. You can convert a few files with no strings attached before it asks you to sign up for a free trial. If you have a few documents to convert, you can usually clear your browsing history to get extra free downloads!

Summary

These various options can be used for more than what is listed in this document so feel free to play around and see if these methods can resolve other problems you might come across!
