How to do a Spectrum Speed Test

Daemen University has outsourced the Internet and Wireless service for the Student Apartments. Instead of connecting to DC-Wildcat, you will connect to your own apartment’s modem. Each apartment will have its own Spectrum account with a 300 Mbps download & 10 Mbps upload speed plan.

You can use the Spectrum Speed Test to track your internet connection speeds.

Note: If you’re experiencing slow internet speeds over a wireless connection, try running a speed test using an Ethernet cord to see if the problem is with your internet service or your wireless connection. If you have internet speeds of 100Mbps or higher, use a wired connection for the best speeds. If your speed test result falls below your current plan’s range, please keep your results for future reference.
