Autodesk Student Edition Software

Students and educators can get free one-year educational access to Autodesk products and services to use on their personal device, renewable as long as you remain eligible. These products include Maya, Mudbox, 3DS Max, and more!

In order to get started with Autodesk Education, you will need to complete the following outlined steps (visit this article from Autodesk which has further details and links):

  1. Create an Autodesk Education account.
  2. Confirm your eligibility.
  3. Submit additional documentation.
  4. Answer some questions about your eligibility.
  5. Download and install the software.

If you require further help, please contact Autodesk support. Daemen IT has no control over Autodesk Student Edition software for personal use, it is directly managed by Autodesk.


Renewing or Restarting Your Access

Your access to the Education plan will expire at the end of one year. You can renew your access annually as long as you are eligible. If you do not renew your access, your free access will end when your Education plan expires.

Thirty days before the expiration of your one-year Education plan access, you’ll be sent an email reminder. You can also find your expiration date in the personalized banner notification when you sign in to your account on the Autodesk Education Community website.

Overview of How to Renew:

  1. Make sure you are still eligible.
  2. Sign in to your Autodesk Account.
  3. Click on the “Renew Now” banner notification.
  4. Confirm your eligibility.
  5. Once confirmed, your access will be automatically extended for another year.

  2. Click on the “Restart Access” banner notification.
  3. Confirm your eligibility.
  4. Once confirmed, your access will be automatically extended for another year.
