Updating Respondus LockDown Browser

To update Respondus LockDown Browser on your computer to the latest version, follow these steps.

  1. Start the Respondus LockDown Browser application.
  2. Windows: Click the “i” button in the upper-left corner of the window.
    OR
    Mac: Click About.
  3. In the window that appears, click the button Check for Newer Version.
  4. Follow the on-screen instructions to download and run the patch.

If the Check for New Version button does not recognize the latest version, you may be running an especially old copy of LockDown Browser. In this case, reinstall LockDown Browser. After patching or reinstalling the application, the “i” or About button on the toolbar should show the latest version number.
